๐Ÿ’› About the Role (Supportive Steps Service)

Youโ€™ll help drive a well-established service in Northamptonshire, delivering:

  • ๐Ÿ‘ถ Early parenting & parentโ€“child relationship support (children under 2)

  • ๐Ÿง  Support for parents with mildโ€“moderate mental health needs

  • ๐Ÿ“š Evidence-based parenting programmes & antenatal groups

  • ๐Ÿค Targeted parentโ€“infant interventions & peer support

  • ๐Ÿก Community safe spaces for families from pregnancy onwards

  • ๐Ÿ’ฌ Confidence-building support for new parents


๐Ÿš€ Key Responsibilities

  • ๐Ÿ“Š Support planning & day-to-day service management

  • ๐ŸŽฏ Ensure KPIs & funder deadlines are met

  • ๐Ÿ“ข Raise the service profile in local communities

  • ๐Ÿค Build partnerships with mental health & voluntary services

  • ๐Ÿ—“ Attend Steering Groups & multi-agency meetings

  • ๐Ÿ”„ Ensure families receive coordinated, joined-up support


โœ… What Theyโ€™re Looking For

  • ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ง Experience working with pregnant/new parents (especially those with mildโ€“moderate mental health needs)
    OR experience in Early Years settings

  • ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿ’ผ Service management experience (including staff oversight)

  • ๐Ÿ›ก Strong safeguarding knowledge (child & adult)

  • โš– Ability to assess risk & respond appropriately

  • ๐Ÿ”Ž Enhanced DBS required
